This tutorial will show you how to create your very own server online and on your localhost.<\/p>\n

The below steps can be time consuming but once you know what to do its really easy \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Serverpacks are becoming large these days (1gb+) and it is becoming very difficult to upload these files to CurseForge via browser uploads. The below method allows all required files to be easily downloaded and used for your servers. If you are still having issues, join the discord link at the bottom of this post and someone will help you out on there.<\/p>\n

Localhost Method<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Use the CurseForge app<\/a> to import the GamerPotion modpack server pack zip file that you just downloaded. This will download all the mods and config files needed for the server to run properly.<\/p>\n

Click on Import<\/b><\/p>\n

Click on Choose .zip file<\/b><\/b> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Local the server pack zip file and select it to begin the import process.<\/p>\n

Once CurseForge has imported and downloaded all the files, you should see it in the My Modpacks<\/b> section<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Right click on the server pack icon and select Open Folder<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This will open up the folder where the files have been imported into. Highlight all the files in this folder and then copy them.<\/p>\n

Now its time to install the server files to run the server.<\/div>\n
\n

Use the below links to download the Server installer for the relevant modloader (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– Fabric –\u00a0https:\/\/fabricmc.net\/use\/installer<\/a>
\n– Forge –\u00a0https:\/\/files.minecraftforge.net<\/a>
\n– NeoForge –\u00a0https:\/\/projects.neoforged.net\/neoforged\/neoforge<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Note: It is important to download and install the correct server version for each modpack. For example DarkRPG Fabric (in today’s date) uses Fabric 1.20.1,\u00a0 DarkRPG Forge (in today’s date) uses Forge 1.20.1.\u00a0 Cookiemon (in today’s date) uses NeoForge 1.21.1.\u00a0 Please make sure you check what modloader and version each modpack is running before installing the server files.<\/div>\n

(You may need to download and install Adoptium JDK<\/a> to open the jar files with)<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Once your server files have been installed you should see something like this.
\n(This will have your server jar file, a bat file to run the server, and some extra folders)<\/div>\n

Now Right Click<\/b> in an empty space in this folder and select Paste<\/b>
\n(this will paste the files we copied earlier)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

You should now see the files that you copied earlier pasted into this folder<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now run the .bat<\/b> file to start the localhost server<\/div>\n

You may need to write “true” for the eula.txt file and save it when the server starts for the very first time<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Once the server has finished loading, look for the line that reads done<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

You can then connect to the server on your machine using your local IP (use 127.0.0.1\u00a0 or\u00a0 \u00a0localhost as your IP address)\u00a0 Open up the modpack and then go into the multiplayer section add the IP.<\/div>\n

Online Server Method<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n

Alternatively if you want to install the server to your own online hosting company, just use the above method to generate the files via CurseForge app and then upload them (overwrite) to your online server. Then start the server and you can connect to the online server via the Modpack’s multiplayer menu.<\/div>\n
